A lot of brokerages say they are different. But, seriously, the NextHome Our Town office is constantly mistaken for a pet lounge, a wine shop, or a small cafe. Window shoppers often open our doors and ask if they can take a look around. Many a glass of wine has been served to out-of-towners at our kitchen table!
When the NextHome Our Town office was designed, so many common agent concerns were addressed. “No one is ever at my office.” “No one wants to share.” “I can never find anyone to answer questions.” “My broker is never in.” You know the list goes on. Our office layout purposefully provides several nooks for agents to focus, just like they would at home on the couch. It is also open so that no one feels alone or isolated, which happens a lot in offices with cubicles or offices with doors. Even a virtual office can lend to feelings of detachment.

Meet Cristi McGowan
When Cristi started in real estate she purchased another successful agent’s book of business. Big Mistake! Over the years, she made many, many other mistakes. Spent way too much time obsessing on having the perfect marketing strategy. Threw tens of thousands of dollars in the metaphorical trash can buying too many leads only to suffer from lead-fatigue. Road the Income roller coaster trying to find balance between working in the business vs. on the business vs family. Lost out with multiple assistants either because bad interview techniques, failure to prepare systems in advance, or running out of money while training said assistant. Tried and failed with teams. The list goes on!
All that to learn that real estate is hard when you’re going at it alone.
A real estate practice is like none other. But, like other hard things, they are made easier when done TOGETHER, as a team!
